TC quest stuff

 Needed to design a cloak for my OC Trance for one of the new quests for Telian Chronicles and was having issues. So you guys can see all the designs I went through to get the final one, which is the separate/bigger one.

This is the failed/wrong version of another quest we had to do. I caught the wrong person. XD Figured I'd put it up here to show Trance in his work uniform and him doing some Akido. It's pretty much impossible for someone to get up from that position.

Digimon

Usually after I finish something big I don't have anything I really really want to draw or spend a ton of time on, so I just 'doodle' something simple and free just for the sake of drawing.
When I do this I don't usually have anything in mind so I end up asking someone to name a character and then draw whatever comes to mind after that. ^^

The finished version is on my DA account, but I thought some progress shots would be fun. :D

Requests

Took a few requests about a week ago and just finished them all.

First one finished was for SpikeBallX

 This is his character Leon Sylph from and RP group he's in.
I quite enjoyed drawing his hair and face. The only issue I had was the references for the uniform. They had such a dark black that it was hard to see what exactly was going on with the clothing ^^;
Originally I was going to do a white background, but I couldn't get the front image to stand out from the back image enough. Plus the back image looked so much better on the darker background that I kept it. :D

Second one finished was for Texika

This one was of Kaien Shiba from Bleach and Yeaarrrgh!!! I don't think I ever be able to draw Ichigo or anyone who looks like him as well as I'd like. His hair is just so unorganized and crazy that it's very hard to get it to look like a mess and hair at the same time. DX It should be burnt off or squished flat with gel or something. Not to mention their inconsistent eye shape. It's almost as if they smack a different set of eyes on their face for every emotion they're trying to portray. Grrr.
Other than that and his blasted left leg the rest of the picture was fun to draw and I appreciate being asked to draw someone who made me grind my teeth since it gave me a chance to learn something else.

The last one finished was done today for Az-the-Dragon

I do a lot of Rockman fan art so this one was super fun for me. I like her subtle redesign of Forte's armor for the Cross Fusion of him and Netto, but I couldn't stop snickering whenever I was working on his thigh. I don't know why but the purple band with the line leading up from it reminds me of a garter belt and I kept wanting to draw lace on the edges. XD It's definitely not a bad design, and I really do love it, I just get a good laugh.


Other news:
I was watching  Livestream and the artist linked to a texture search on Pixiv. O.o Heart.
I love that site so much. XD I go in looking for one texture and end up grabbing 20 or more. XD
Lol, so I've been using some textures from there in the backgrounds of some of my more recent pictures. I always end up altering/layering them but I still try to mention that they're in there. ^_^

Cherry for Shadilyn

I love this guy's character design and had to eventually get around to drawing him. His name is Cherry and he's from Shadilyn's web comic called Key. I don't know much of anything about him because he hasn't really shown up yet. ^^;
I really like the color combination she used for him. :D All the colors were ripped directly from one of her pictures of him. ^_^

Done because I love to draw pictures for other people. Especially if I like the character's design.

Intro shpeal thingy

Started this blog so that I could have a place to post artwork that I don't want to submit to DeviantArt for various reasons. Mostly sketches and wips since most of my finished pieces go to DA, but occasionally I'll put one up here. I also did this so that I could have a chance to record some thoughts I had while working on a piece since I always seem to forget them when I go to post. ^^;

I'll stick these up first, since they're actually pretty old. I finished the background image pretty quickly since I already had a general idea before I started, but that logo took months to figure out. The bottom image show a progression of the different shapes I went through after I had the text. I had trouble trying to get the logo to match the theme of the story since it's a mix of fantasy and technological. I didn't want it to look like some magical fairy candy land thing either. Haha ^^;
The character is the same one as in the current header of this blog. His name is Fathanel and he's a 12 year old kid who's missing his left eye and has the elemental ability of 'soft metal'. He's my original character for a story that is currently only in my head called Ether.

Here's the image I used for the header the lineart is a little older, and half of the coloring. I touched it up pretty recently. :D

These are the two comparison images, with the dates on them, of the old colors and the new one. Changed the shading on the hair completely and added another layer of shading on the rest of the colors. Also textured the background.

This is his daddy, even though he looks pretty young. ^_^ His name is Lumiel and he's a 'scientist/mathematician'.
